Founded in 1933 by W.H. “Billy” Young and his son Stanley C. Young on the shores of Flathead Lake, Stancraft has been making hand-crafted, iconic wooden boats for over 90 years.  

Now the modern, and third, generation of Stancraft began  with 3 boat builders in a 2,000-square-foot shop and has grown to over 45,000 square feet of manufacturing over 136,000 square feet of storage and service space and more than 100 employees in Hayden, ID.

No two boats are the same, as they are as unique as their owner. Every boat is crafted by hand, uniquely to the specs of our customers on our campus in Hayden. 

Stancraft Wooden Boats has become an iconic brand on Lake Coeur d’Alene and has delivered boats around the world. Throughout the four generations of family boat makers, they have always been dedicated to preserving the art of wooden boat building while infusing modern innovation.
